Enhancement service

If you don’t want or need a full interior design service, we can work out simple, inexpensive improvements to suit your budget. We specialise in re-using existing items, give them a new lease of life to suit your new scheme.

We advise you on what to keep and what to let go.  We will rearrange existing furniture and accessories to best flatter the room and make the most of the pieces and the space they are in. We can then advise and source any items that may be needed to complete the scheme.

All these small touches can make a dramatic difference to your house looks, feels and how you utilise it.

The Enhancement Service is perfect for people wanting to liven up their home, those who want to present their house in its best light for sale or rental, or those who have moved into a new house and do not know what to do with it.

Sourcing

Product sourcing can be extremely time consuming. We have relationships with many suppliers in New Zealand and should be able to provide products at below the recommended retail price.

The House Enhancer can locate or create unusual and interesting items such as antique or vintage goods that will help build on your existing style.

Scheme Review

Many people know what they like but are not sure how to start creating their look, or they have decided what they want to do but are worried it might not work and want some reassurance before they start the project.

We can confirm whether your ideas will work and may add some new ideas that will ensure you achieve the design you desire.

Colour consultation

The House Enhancer will discuss your preferences, consider the light, space and existing details in the property and create a new colour scheme or add to your existing scheme. We will discuss the colours of accessories that would complement the paintwork and give a connection through the house.

A complete package will be given with the details of the paints and papers suggested together with A4 paint samples.

Decluttering Service

Parting with items you have accumulated over the years can be difficult and distressing.  We can help you decide what to keep and what to bin, donate or recycle. What can be refurbished to give it a new look and a new lease in life. After this process we can assist in storage solutions and you will end up with more space, more freedom and a more streamlined life.

Upcycling/Refresh Service

Upcycling simply means updating furniture to improve its appearance. It could be as simple as new handles or legs, or re-upholstering or painting the piece.

If you have furniture that you would love to give a new lease of life we are happy to help with ideas and fabrics.

Upholstery and reupholstering can make an incredible difference to a piece of furniture. A new look, a new lease of life is given to a piece and gained at a fraction of a price of buying a new one. Armchairs, sofas, dining chairs, squabs, bedheads all benefit.

House Enhancer can assist you in choosing fabrics to compliment your existing scheme.  With access to all the wholesale fabric manufacturers and we will be able to save you money on your purchases  and have them made up for you, thus ensuring a completely unique look for you and your home.
